This service is for families who are finding it difficult to make ends meet. You will have the opportunity to purchase pre-made baby food at a reduced price to help you stretch your budget further.

Nappies and wipes - £2.

Food and toiletry items - 10 items for £2.

MK Foodbank are also present at Top-up Shop were they have 10 cupboard food items for £2.

Top-Up Shop runs on Wednesdays 12.30-2 (Term-time only) at Kings Community Centre, Creed Street, Wolverton, MK11 5LY.

You do not need to have been already referred to us - anyone in need is welcome to use this service. This is a cash only event.

When an emergency crisis happens, we are here for you to turn to.

Baby Basics MK can respond quickly and provide support for clothing, equipment and toys for children from 0-6 years.

❤️Volunteer roles available. ❤️ As a volunteer, you will be meeting and greeting clients and professionals who are collecting their gift parcels and people who come to our warehouse to generously drop off their donations. You will be involved in every step of supplying our clients with the items they need, from sorting through the donations, re-stocking our shelving, sourcing business support and creating bespoke gift packages to change a child’s life. Baby Basics MK is a fast-paced environment, and the role may involve lifting and moving of items. You will be part of a team who are launching new projects and services to fight child poverty. We have vacancies on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. Our sessions run from 9am to 1pm. If you are interested in finding out more, please message us.

Here are two of our younger Baby Basics MK supporters…they heard that we were running extremely low on winter coats, to the point where we can’t supply some ages with any outer wear, and took it upon themselves to buy a new winter coat each to donate to us. They were so upset at the thought of a child going to school without a coat and not being warm and dry. At the beginning of the year the National Planning Team (Route Services) at Network Rail approached us to see how they, as a team, could help us on a regular basis. Following a few meetings we created a bespoke Amazon Wishlist just for them. The team then committed to purchasing one item each from the list each pay day. This week marks Maternal Mental Health Awareness week, a week dedicated to talking about mental health issues during and after pregnancy. Around 20% of women experience perinatal mental illness but few seek help due to the perceived stigma. Peer support can play a huge role in helping remove barriers and opening up conversation, so you can be seen, heard and supported. With that in mind we would like to know whether you would like to see our FREE baby group return? We trialled a baby group in Kings Community Centre, Wolverton where we provided a space for mums to talk and relax whilst their baby/child played, and offered support services.
